Barcelona a conjuring up a spicy player-plus cash deal in an attempt to lure one of Chelsea’s biggest stars to the Nou Camp.
Staying in Spain and Jose Mourinho’s move to Real Madrid has hit a speed bump after it was revealed the Madrid giants would have to pay United a big sum of cash for his services.
All that and more in another edition of Rumour Mill!
BARCA’S PLAYER-PLUS CASH BID FOR WILLIAN
Barcelona are in talks to launch a A$89 million player-plus cash bid for Chelsea’s Willian, according to the Telegraph in the UK.
The Spanish giants are prepared to part ways with La Liga flop Malcom, with a multimillion-dollar sum reportedly on the table in order to try and land the Blues’ Brazilian winger.
Barca signed Malcom last summer for from Bordeaux after they had THREE bids for Willian turned down, and it looks like they’ve turned their attention back to their former target.
Willian is thought to still be the answer at the fourth time of asking although it’s yet to be seen whether Chelsea are happy to go forward with the deal.
BIG PAYDAY FOR STAR’S AGENT
Aaron Ramsey’s agent is set to pocket a massive $12.5m from the Arsenal star’s move to Juventus at the end of the season.
The Welshman will rake in a reported $14m signing-on fee while taking home a further $257,500-a-week at the Serie A giants.
The 28-year-old will be out of contract at Arsenal this summer and is said to have signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Old Lady.
Although a deal seems to be done, Emirates boss Unai Emery says he will still play the Wales international this season.
UNITED TO CASH-IN ON JOSE’S REAL MOVE
Real Madrid will be hit by a $18m bill from Manchester United if they make Jose Mourinho their manager for the second time.
Mourinho and his agent Jorge Mendes have negotiated the Portuguese boss’ $26.5m severance payment after he was sacked by the Old Trafford club before Christmas.
The deal means he is free to join another club, with Real president Florentino Perez keen to bring the ‘Special One’ back to the Bernabeu.
But United executive chairman Ed Woodward will force Mourinho to stick to the terms of the departure agreement after being stung with a similar fee when they appointed him back in 2016.
CHELSEA LOANEE ON THE RADAR OF SEVERAL EPL CLUBS
Toffees boss Marco Silva is on the hunt for a striker, with current options Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling to convince so far.
The club’s $78m summer signing Richarlison has filled in up top several times this season, but Silva is keen for him to move back to his favoured left-wing spot.
Despite scoring the Blues’ title-winning goal in 2017, Batshuayi failed to earn a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
That being said, the 25-year-old’s recent form has landed him on the radar of several Premier League clubs.
