Matt Simon was up to his old tricks against the Wanderers.

The Central Coast Mariners captain is famed for his aggressive approach, but in this instance he was perhaps lucky to go unpunished.

Simon appeared to stomp deliberately on the foot of Wanderers midfielder Keanu Baccus as the teen fell to the ground in pain.

Xherdan Shaqiri has been a real bright spot for Liverpool this season, as he’s added plenty of creativity, dynamism and thrust into Jurgen Klopp’s team’s attacking adventures.
