Socceroos starlet Daniel Arzani secured his former employer Melbourne City a hefty $315,000 bonus thanks to FIFA’s Club Benefits Programme.

The scheme sees a share of the World Cup revenue handed out to the clubs whose players featured in Russia, with City ranking as the top A-League side.

FIFA dished out a total of A$286 million to 416 different clubs, compensating the players’ teams for up to 48 months prior to the tournament.
